Be still....

Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God."  -- so simple, yet so difficult sometimes.

Truly "being still" for any length of time is almost impossible in our fast-paced world.  Most of us stay in a state of "crazy", feeling overwhelmed by too many commitments as we try to "have it all" and "be it all".  Learning to slow down for just a few moments everyday has been critical for me.  Taking time for just me and my creator to communicate with one another has become my lifeline.  I don't know WHY it was so hard for me to truly believe how important that is.

I believe it now.

I know the difference in my life when I choose (yes, choose) to include Him in it.

I hope you all can find some time during this coming week to "Be still, and know that He is God."  Nothing can rejuvenate you like time with our Father.

Speaking of rejuvenation.... gotta run to the gym... It's day 12 of my self-imposed torture.  Gotta get to step-class!!   Have a great day!

UPDATE:  Was so proud of myself for getting to the Y on time for step-class... only to realize I was still in my house slippers... ugh.    Back to the house for "Faithful Workouts" again... thank goodness for that show!!

Maybe one of these days I'll get inspired to do it too!!

We are really enjoying "Embracing Your Second Calling".... thanks for the encouragement with the exercise thing. I. AM. SO. SORE. RIGHT. NOW. ... but I'm determined to finish this thing out. Although I haven't lost any weight (in fact, I think I've GAINED a couple of lbs!)I have to admit that I feel stronger, have more energy and seem to be sleeping better. So all that is a plus!! love ya!
