So it's now day 10 of my exercise experiment.... yesterday I had an "off" day. Sore muscles made me take it easy, so really all I did was some gentle yoga before bed. Although I don't want to miss a day of doing something, I certainly don't want to injure myself and end up having to stop my progress... so, I listened to by body and only did a minimum of activity yesterday.
I had been considering buying a Stamina recumbent exercise bike because a friend of mine gave it a glowing recommendation. I checked Walmart, (where he bought his) and wouldn't you KNOW it, they are temporarily out of stock, even online. They were $150 bucks and other bikes were much more expensive so I held off. TODAY, I decided to check Craig's list... and GUESS WHAT!! I found a guy selling the bike for $40!! It's barely been used.. looks brand-new.. Score!!!!!!
Tonight, while catching up on American Idol, I rode the bike for 20 mins, and then did 10 mins of stretching. I was feeling pretty good about myself, but then my husband got on the stinkin' bike for an HOUR. Show-off. Hmmmph.
Only 21 more days to go.....
