Birmingham and "Honor Flight, the movie".....

We had a LOVELY time in Birmingham this weekend.....

Our "still-to-be-named" trio, which is me, Rob Harris and Kim Parent got to head down south to the lovely town of Birmingham, AL and play a COOL venue called "Workplay".  We were there as part of "The Writer's Share" music series, which was started by my friend Max Berueffy.  

They have a super cool thing going on down there and we were thrilled to be a part of it all this weekend!

After we got back home, I got the chance to take Daddy to a free screening of the documentary "Honor Flight" about the WWII Veteran's Honor Flights, at the historic Franklin Theatre.  I would encourage everyone to check out this wonderful movie..... but beware, you'll need some tissues!  Incredibly moving and inspiring!!

Overall, a wonderful long weekend.... but I gotta admit I'm a bit overdue for a day OFF, and I'm taking one tomorrow!  They are predicting the possibility of SNOW FLURRIES tomorrow, so if you need me, I'll be home in my pj's making chili... and chillin'.

November update....

Nov 2013

Can't believe it's NOVEMBER!  It's one of my very favorite months of the year.  Pumpkin pies, football, beautiful foliage, sweaters & boots....what's NOT to love??   

Just got back from playing 2 shows with the AMAZING Christopher Cross at Disneyworld!!  We were there as part of the "Eat to the Beat" music series, which goes on during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.  We had SO much fun, playing great music, riding rides at the Magic Kingdom, and eating some unbelievably GOOD FOOD.  There is a rumor that we've been asked back next year... oh GOSH, I HOPE SO!!    One of my favorite gigs EVER!!  :-)  

I hope to be doing more shows with Christopher in 2014, so ya'll come see us!!

Ok...now back to reality!  --Next gig is Sunday, Nov. 10th in Birmingham   This is gonna be a SUPER FUN night too, with my friends Kim Parent and Rob Harris.  We are playing at "Workplay" as part of "The Writer's Share" series.  I hear this is a super venue and we are excited!!  This will be a night of songs, stories, and laughter... family friendly too!  So ya'll come out and see us if you live in the Birmingham area.  Tickets are $10 and available at www.workplay.com  Show starts at 7:30pm
