It's always fun to spend time catching up with old friends..... and then adding a beautiful evening of stories and music just made it even more special!
I headed down to Atlanta this weekend with my dear friend Kaci Bolls. We met up with "the boys" for our yearly "Yellowbird" house concert at the home of sweet, sweet Fran Adkins. Fran is a wonderful hostess and makes us all feel like family while we are there. Our "round" of writers was Greg Johnson, AJ Masters, Ken Harrell, Bob Regan, Kaci Bolls, and ME. :-) Between the six of us, the attentive crowd heard songs recorded by Faith Hill, Tracy Lawrence, Clay Walker, Jo Dee Messina, Sonia Issacs, and Keith Urban, just to name a few. It was a special night full of laughter and tears. I just LOVE house concerts!! With the new "Nashville" tv show bringing attention to "The Bluebird" and the singer/songwriter format, more and more people are interested in bring "The Bluebird" into their homes.... Fran's lovely house has yellow walls.... so that's how this concert series got it's name! LOL

We always gather for a gourmet breakfast the next morning before heading back to Nashville!
