So I'm putting my things in my hotel room, looking at the beautiful view of palm trees and ocean and thinking to myself, "This might be a great place for Mike and I to come for a little vacation!" I'm thinking, "even if it's a little expensive, maybe we could use some frequent flyer miles and splurge on the room." Then I checked the back of the door, where they always post the room rates, so i could see how much it would cost to book ourselves a room. WHOA!! SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS?!?! For ONE NIGHT!!! Drat... not gonna happen on this little singer/songwriter's budget..... is everything more expensive in FL??? Well, we ARE in Hollywood!! Even if it IS Hollywood, FL! -grin
The rates on the back of the door are always more than what they really charge--check online! :D It might be more affordable than you think. :D

ReplyDeleteHollywood isn't usually that high -- you can usually stay at the Hilton, Beach Tower for like 150 bucks and under.
ReplyDeleteThe Westin, Marriott @ HW Beach (there are two diff. Marriott's, Diplomat Resort & Fairmont can get a little higher and are pricey-- but usually like $200-250-- depending on what time of the year you go :) The Westin and Marriott @ HW Beach both overlook the ocean and are WONDERFUL hotels.
