My daughter, Kari loves Halloween. She couldn't wait to carve one of the pumpkins that I bought at the pumpkin patch. Her boyfriend, Drew, was home from UT for fall break, so he came over to help. Of course, Sam got involved as well.... they all debated about what exactly to carve on the front and decided to carve Homestar Runner. I don't think Homestar Runner is the scariest thing to put on a jack 'o lantern, but that's what they wanted.

.... but Kari forged ahead with her artistic endeavor. It actually turned out really cute!!She couldn't wait to get her picture made with Drew and the finished pumpkin, but unfortunately, I was getting ready for bed and the boys were in video game world and no one seemed to be listening. Finally, with pure desperation in her voice she screamed, "All I WANT is a PICTURE with my BOYFRIEND and THIS PUMPKIN!!!!!!!!" Got it!! Aren't they adorable?!?!?
On a very sad note, I woke up this morning to my friend Vicki calling to tell me her brother had passed away this morning. Tom Gilbert was a wonderful man. He spent the last few years battling lung cancer and he gave up the fight this morning. His mother Mary, who lives across the street from us, and his wife Kitty were with him. We adore that whole family and grieve with them in their loss. Rest in peace, sweet Tom. We miss you, but we will see you again!
Everyone find someone you love, and hug them tight!!! Life is precious....
I love the pumpkin! I'm not going to lie-- TOTALLY had to google Homestar Runner to find out what it was! I've never heard of this before, LOL.

My kids will watch episodes of Homestar Runner for HOURS on the computer... it's pretty funny. Dry humor.
